Moving Services by Movers that are not responsible

I heard a story about a family who ordered a moving company for a certain date to move their home from one town to another. The moving company promised to be there 8:00 AM at the scheduled date.
On the scheduled date the owner was expecting the mover to show on 8:00 AM but no one came. At 11:00 the homeowner managed to catch the moving company contact person and that told him the from what he see, "nothing was scheduled for today" - after a lot of shouting they both decided to set up a new date for the move....
